NUPSRAW holds workshop on effective management, administration in Taraba

Taraba State Council of the Nigeria Union of Public Service, Reportorial, Secretarial, Data Processors and Allied Workers (NUPSRAW) has organised a One-Day Workshop on Effective Management and Administration for its members in the State.

Declaring open the Workshop yesterday at the NLC Secretariat, Jalingo, Governor Darius Ishaku lauded the foresightedness of the Organisers, saying it will boost the morale of members.

Represented by the State Director, Establishment and Manpower, Alhaji Inuwa Mohammed, the Governor admonished the participants to give rapt attention to the Paper presentation stressing that the teachings would help improve on their capabilities and abilities for quality service delivery.

Ishaku said despite the fact that challenges of Workers are enormous, all the demands made by the State Chairman, NUPSRAW were noted and would be given the most needed attention.

“I also want to respond to some issues, all the demands made or requested here, are noted”, he said.

In his remarks, the National President, NUPSRAW, Yahaya Yakubu Yashi, commended the state leadership of NUPSRAW for the initiative in organizing the Workshop.

He further called on the State Union members to queue into all that the training Workshop would offer, advising that at the end, they will be better equipped to address the challenges confronting them.

He also asked the Governor to sponsor Referential Courses, Seminars and training workshops for Taraba State members.

In his address of welcome, the Taraba State Chairman, NUPSRAW, Comrade Solomon Nathaniel expressed satisfaction over Governor Ishaku’s style of attending to issues concerning Workers in the State.

He said, Governor Ishaku pays salaries as at when due.

Comrade Nathaniel also reminded the Governor to donate a Bus to the Union to enable the State Council effectively conduct its activities with ease.

He further added that there is the need for training and retraining of the members on Programmes and Seminars related to the field of their specialization.

“We also urge the Taraba State Government to embark on massive recruitment of Confidential Secretaries, Data Processors and Secretarial Assistants into the service of the State Government to replace those that have retired and those about to retire”, he added.
