NSCDC decorates 52 newly promoted officers in Ebonyi

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ebonyi state command has decorated 52 newly promoted officers with new ranks following their elevation in the Corps.
Speaking during the decoration of the newly promoted officers at the Command’s Headquarters in Abakaliki, the State Commandant of the Corps, Mrs. Chinwe Kanu charged the 52 newly promoted officers to take their work more seriously than before so that they fit into their status and move the Corps forward to greater height.
“The 52 newly promoted officers who benefited from this exercise should know that this promotion is not based only on performance in exams but due to hard work and the mercy of God”.
The Commandant who congratulated the officers on their new status in the force charged them to be more devoted and diligent in the discharge their duties as their promotion called for serious commitment to the work.
Kannu lauded the Minister of interior, (Rtd) Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, and the Commandant General of NSCDC, Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu for the rare opportunity of promoting 52 officers noting that such development was occurring the first time in Ebonyi state command of the Corps.
Congratulating the newly promoted officers, the Commander of Nkwegu Military Cantonment, Lt Col S. O Sadiq urged them to re-dedicate themselves to the assignment given to them stressing that their duty was a call to the service of the country and humanity at large.
He furthermore challenged the promoted officers to ensure that they do all it takes to justify the confidence reposed on them by the Corps and the Federal government.
The highlight of the event witnessed the decoration of the newly promoted officers by service chiefs from other sister security agencies, officers of the command and also commissioning of the new officers mess of the command.
