No govt should be blamed over Nigeria’s present economic woes – Muslim cleric

An Aba based Moslem cleric, Alhaji Raji Misbaudeen has urged Nigerians to desist from blaming any government for the nations present economic woes.

Misbaudeen said in his Sallah message to mark 2016 Eid-El-Kabir,that the current economic hardship was preordained by God.

He said God determines the economic conditions of humans in line with their obedience or disobedience to the set-out goals contained in the scriptures.

The cleric also said that mismanagement of public funds by Nigerian leaders further enhanced Nigerian economic problems.

“We should blame ourselves because we are not acting according to the will of God,” he added.

Also speaking, the Chief Imam Umuahia Central Mosque Alhaji Hamza Goni advised Muslims to use the Eid-El-Kabir period to show love and peace to both Muslims and non Muslims.

He noted that both Islam and Christianity preach love and peace among one another and admonished the faithful to always shun acts capable of portraying the religion in bad light as Islam abhorred violence.

He urged Nigerians to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in the fight against corruption, describing it as a step in the right direction.
