“Best graduating student at my University in Istanbul. Proud to be representing Nigeria on an international stage”.

Mr Mamman’s tremendous academic feat comes on the back of a number of stellar performances by Nigerian students in the diaspora.

Precisely a month ago, news media became awash with the news of a Nigerian student by the name, Dr Chidubem Obi Gerald, an indigene of Anambra State who made the country proud by becoming the first African to graduate with a 5.0 CGPA in Medicine at the Sechenov University in Russia.

Elsewhere in Asia, an Akwa Ibom native by the name Ufot Ekong, in his first semester at Tokai University, Japan, solved a mathematical puzzle that students had been unable to solve for three decades.

The 24 year old didn’t stop at that, he went on to break a 50 year old academic record by graduating as the ‘Best All Rounder’ with a first class degree in Electrical Engineering, clinching the highest grades the university had witnessed in 50 years.

Mr Mamman, who is the latest Nigerian to hoist the country’s flag across the shores with his impressive achievement, has once again lent credence to the fact that Nigeria is blessed with exceptionally talented and brilliant individuals who can compete in various aspects of human endeavour on a global level.
