Nigeria Environment Award Set To Hold

Organisers have announced that the first ever Nigeria Environment Award will be holding soon. According to them, it is high time for Nigerians to pay more attention to the environment like the rest of the world is currently doing.
Ibinabo Fiberesima, the producer of the award said this while addressing men of the press in Lagos on the 5th of June 2018, the World Environment Day.
The maiden edition of the Miss Earth Nigeria Environmental Awards (MENEA) is slated for October, 2018 as the organisers hinted that the award is an initiative off the Miss Earth Foundation with the maiden edition of the award tagged ‘Beat Plastic Solution’ where organisers advocates the total eradication of plastic bottles instead have your own reusable water bottles.
According to the producer, Ibinabo Fiberesima, one of the key essences of the award is to encourage a sustainable pro-active environment and to equally celebrate those who are already environmental friendly and have gone green, to also inspire others to go green because the world is green.
The awards equally seek to acknowledge individuals, states, corporation in Nigeria that have achieved significant environmental footprint and have support for waste management amongst others.
With all hands on deck towards a successful outcome, it is noteworthy that the award team goes out to inspect each state that will slug it out in the following categories that includes Sustainable Banking industries, Recycling/up cycling industries, Best collaboration for environmental sustainability, Renewable energy sector, Best state government with sustainable urban renewal projects, Best state government with ecological solutions amongst others.
