Niger Tornadoes must be more ambitious next season, says Adebayo

The defender has expressed his desire to compete for the NPFL title and feature in the Caf Champions League

Niger Tornadoes’ Abiodun Adebayo has assured fans of the Ikon Allah Boys of fireworks in the 2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The Minna-based team placed 11th at the end of the 2016 top flight campaign with lots of positives.

The club have retained 19 players from the 2016 squad, and hope to target 11 more ahead of the next campaign,

“I want to give my best for the club to win the NPFL and play in the Caf Champions League,”

“We have switched our focus to the future. I must admit that the recently concluded season comes with food for thoughts. We have to be more ambitious if we want to compete with the best.

“There was no difference between playing in Minna and the Confluence Stadium. The Lokoja community really gave us the needed support. We can’t find enough words to appreciate them,” he concluded.
