Niger PDP Women Leader wants more women in politics

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Women Leader in Niger, Hajia Sa’adatu Kolo, has urged women to participate in politics and seek election into offices so as to influence decision making processes.
Kolo told newsmen in Minna that it was “very dangerous” for women to shy away from politics and leave the turf for only men.
“Women cannot afford to shy away from politics; they constitute the largest voting group and are usually the worst hit by any bad political decision.
“Poverty has been the lot of many women. Some of them are also the victims of violence that usually erupt from bad political decisions,” she said.
