NFF reconciliation committee criticised

The composition of a reconciliation committee set up by the Nigerian sports minister has been criticized as being in favour of embattled NFF president Amaju Pinnick.
Sports minister Solomon Dalung has named former NFF boss Ibrahim Galadima as chairman of a committee to try and reconcile the various warring factions in Nigeria football after a fresh round of crisis has again attracted a warning from world football governing body FIFA.
Others on the committee include former general secretaries Tijani Yusuf, Bolaji Ojo-oba and Musa Amadu with NFF technical committee member Paul Passey also picked.
However, former FCT FA boss Ben Agary questioned the fairness of this committee which also has NFF lawyer Okey Obi as secretary.
“Only Galadima is a credible member of this committee. The rest have worked under Pinnick or have openly canvassed support for him,” said Agary.
“What then do you expect from such a committee?”
Another critic simply described the committee as “a decimation committee.”
The committee has a week to submit their recommendation for lasting peace to the sports minister.
