NECO Gets New Registrar

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the appointment of Professor Monday Tommy Joshua as the Registrar/Chief Executive of National Examinations Council (NECO).

According to the release signed by the Head, Information Division of NECO, Azeez Sani, the appointment which takes effect from 30th March, 2015, is sequel to the expiration of the tenure of Prof. Promise Nwachukwu Okpala, who was Registrar/Chief Excutive of NECO for a period of eight years.

The appointment letter dated April 2nd, 2015, with reference NO: SGF. 6/S .14T was signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim.

Until his appointment, Prof. Joshua has been a professor of Educational Research, Measurement and Evaluation in the Faculty of Education, University of Calabar.

He is from Afasha Nsit II of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa – Ibom State.
