A group known as Buhari Supporters of Bayelsa State has expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment of Prof. Nelson Brambaifa as the acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta development Commission (NDDC). The group while congratulating Prof. Nelson Brambaifa said in a press statement signed by its National Coordinator, Comrade Braye Odiowei Major, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa, that the appointment was a good omen for the region as the erudite scholar is a man of hard work and perseverance. The statement said it was quite certain that Prof. Nelson’s integrity and work ethics will take the Commission to greater heights. “The group wholeheartedly commends the decision of President Muhammad Buhari for appointing a qualified and upright man for the job. This appointment is a credible move to deepen the developmental strides of the Commission,” the statement said and promised that members would mobilise support and deliver all their votes to the President. They also called on all well-meaning Bayelsans to give their support to the re-election agenda of President Muhammad Buhari for more meaningful developments. “We are appealing to Bayelsans irrespective of party affiliation to rally behind President Buhari in his quest to take the Niger delta to the next level. This is a period as a people, for us to have a re-think and should not put all our eggs in one basket and the notion that PDP is South- South party because politics is no longer played that way,” the statement said.
