NCC extends CSR, donates ICT equipment to Oyo Police Command
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has extended its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the Oyo State Police Command by donating Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment which will help the command combat crimes.
Mrs. Hafsat Lawal, the Legal and Regulatory Service officer at NCC, while presenting the equipment, which includes laptops and printers, said the Commission’s gesture is to assist the Police carry out its duty effectively.
“We are here to give the Nigerian Police, Oyo State Command some laptops and printers to use in combating crimes, most especially in the area of cybercrime,” Mrs Lawal said.
She encouraged members of the public to be part of crime prevention and fighting by informing the Police of suspected activities in their environment.
In his response, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sam Adegbuyi lauded the donations and promised to use the equipment for the purpose to which they were meant for.
“We are ready to work with partners like the NCC whenever we are called. I am making a promise that this equipment will be used for the purpose of which they are given to us,” Adegbuyi said.
