Nasir Idris commends security agencies for reducing crime in Kebbi
Nasir Idris, governor of Kebbi state, has praised security agencies for their efforts in tackling criminal activities across the state.
Idris spoke on Tuesday while briefing journalists after the state security meeting held at the Government House chamber in Birnin Kebbi.
“We are happy with the way and manner the security agencies are handling security issues across the state, their tireless efforts have no doubt resulted in reduced criminal activities.
“The present administration under my watch will continue to support the security agencies to enable them discharge their constitutional responsibility diligently. Our desire is to make Kebbi a crime-free state,” he said.
The governor said security challenges in Kebbi South and parts of Kebbi North have been largely brought under control through the combined efforts of personnel on the ground.
He recalled that his administration had procured and distributed patrol vehicles to various security agencies to boost morale and ease logistics.
