NANS urges Buhari to ascent to peace corps bill

The Senate President, National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), Comrade Oyejide Salam, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ascent the Nigeria Peace Corps bill into law.
Mr. Salam stated this in an interaction with newsmen in Jos, on Thursday during an Advocacy Campaign Tour on the already passed bill, by the National Assembly.
He said that, “we want to appeal to Mr. President to listen to the request of Nigerians and ascent the bill as legal entity in Nigeria”.
Salam said that the office of the NANS Senate President is advocating for the creation of Jobs, proper budget implementations on projects that could employ Nigerian graduates and well-meaning youths, adding that for over 18 years, a voluntary organization through it vibrant leader, Dr. Akoh who is the founder and pioneer of the Corps, have worked hard to ensure that a chunk of Nigerian youths are employed through the Peace Corps platform.
“The rate of unemployment in Nigeria is a scourge that is prevalent amidst the youths which comprises the majority of the masses”, the apex student body said.
