Monarch says Buhari re-election good for Nigeria

…Urges him to review cabinet ahead May 29

The traditional ruler of Amuri ancient kingdom in Enugu state, Igwe Charles Nwoye has expressed satisfaction over the re-election of President Muhammandu Buhari.

Igwe Nwoye however, advised the President to quickly review his cabinet ahead of the May 29 inauguration date.

The monarch urged Buhari to remain focused on infrastructural and human oriented programmes and policies during his second tenure.

The monarch who spoke to newsmen at his palace on the occasion of his 10th year anniversary on the throne, called on Nigerians, irrespective of party affiliation to give the President the needed support.

Igwe Nwoye said he strongly believes that the President was on the right path, “especially in the area of community development, infrastructure and all the essential and social amenities that enhance the living standards of the populace.”

The traditional ruler however, advised the President not to be deterred or distracted by his political foes, stressing the need for him to remain focused in the direction he is going.

“It is a double celebration for me in the sense that the election has come and gone. As I celebrate the 10th anniversary, the election in my community was also hitch- free, so we have every course to celebrate.

“The election of the President Buhari is a good thing for this nation, so there is need for us to support him. I strongly believe that our president is on the right direction.

I congratulate him personally and I urge him not to be deterred by even his political foes. He should remain focused in the direction he is going.

“And also l will advise him to have a quick review of his cabinet and all those that worked with him and bring forward those that will energize the system towards the direction his government is focused on,” he stated.

He equally used the opportunity to commend the state Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his developmental projects in the entire communities of the state.

The monarch said the governor has shown one of the basic principles of community development by ensuring community partnership in community development.
