The governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno state ask soldiers at checkpoint on Maiduguri-Damaturu highway to halt collecting 1000 naira each from drivers.

He tongue-lashed the soldiers and ordered that the drivers who were on the endless queues be released to go on their journey.
