Military Task Force parades 17 kidnappers, six bandits in Plateau

Military Task Force code-named Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), mandated to restore peace in Plateau State, on Thursday paraded 11 kidnappers who came into Plateau from Kaduna, Kano, and the Bauchi States.
The kidnappers named Mallam Yunusa Sale, Mallam Ibrahim Usman, Mallam Abdullahi Ya’u, Mallam Yakubu Buba, Mr Azikwe Ishaya, Mallam Mohammadu Bello, Mallam Inusa Abubakar, Mallam IDI Audu, Alhaji Jeji, Mallam Muhammadu Ishaku, Mallam Rabiu Abdulkadir, Mallam Kabiru Adamu, Mallam Amadu Yunusa, Mallam Alhassan Ibrahim, Mallam Umar Bello, Mallam Alhassan Mato, and Mallam Bawa Idi.
According to the Commander Maj. Gen. Dominic Onyemulu said items recovered from the suspects include 7 motorcycles, a Fabricated Rifle, two live cartridges, 13 cutlasses, 3 daggers 15 cell phones, and assorted charms.
Onyemulu said the kidnappers were caught after troops received a distress call on an attempted kidnap of one Alhaji Gambo Yawuro from his residence at lishin village, Jengre Pengana Chiefdom in Bassa LGA of the State.
“Similarly, troops of OPSH responded to the distress call of an ongoing robbery operation along road Lamingo in Jos North LGA of Plateau State. Troops swiftly responded and arrested four members of the syndicate”.
The OPSH said the syndicate had earlier robbed a lady and thrown her out of a moving tricycle.
“Items recovered include a tricycle, a hatchet, a knife, 2 Mobile phones and some quantity of substances suspected to be Cannabis Sativa”.
Also, one Mr. Wisdom Dunyel was arrested and Harrisburg Pistol recovered loaded with 7 rounds of 9mm ammunition, as well as one Mr. Mohammed Mustapha a gang of the dreaded Sara Suka cultist arrested with a fabricated rifle, the OPSH boss said.
