Marriage will propel Onazi to greatness—Boboye
Coach Kennedy Boboye believes Lazio’s Ogenyi Onazi has taken a very bold step towards achieving greatness as a footballer.
The Super Eagles’ star got married to fiancée Sandra Ogunsuyi in a befitting wedding ceremony in Lagos, and the interim Nigeria assistant coach says that is the best contract Onazi ever signed and that would enhance his professional career.
“I am very happy for Onazi who is no doubt one of Nigeria’s finest footballers at the moment and I have no doubt that marriage which is his biggest contract ever will propel him to greatness,” Boboye said.
“He is a great player, patriotic, very hardworking and has a bright future ahead of him.
“I wish him the best with his new wife and now officially welcome him to the club of men.
“This will make him more focussed and I’m very certain he will make a great success of it and that more trophies and good tidings will follow in the future.”
The 23-year-old was on target twice in all 20 appearances for his Italian outfit as they finished eighth in the Serie A during the 2015/16 season, and has been linked with a move outside Stadio Olimpico having been linked with moves to Trabzonspor, Swansea City and Everton during the January transfer window.
