Man Utd hire FIFTY scouts in transfer system overhaul

Jose Mourinho’s side have taken a forensic look at their recruitment policy in order to acquire more promising players in future

The club conducted an extensive revamp of their recruitment policy, and have subsequently hired the huge number of talent-spotters based in several key regions across Europe.

It’s understood the dozens of scouts will report to Carrington twice annually in order to update the club on their search and will be briefed as to the players United require.

Jim Lawlor remains chief scout at Old Trafford and will now work alongside Marcel Bout, who joined the club during Louis van Gaal’s tenure.

Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard are the highest profile graduates of United’s academy in recent years, with both players appearing for England during recent World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia.
