Man in police net for sodomy, infecting 16yrs old boy with HIV

Police in Lagos have arrested a 32-year-old man, Prince Chinecherem for alleged sodomy involving 16 years old boy and infecting him with the dreaded HIV virus in the Ejigbo area of Lagos. The suspect who had been having anal sex with the survivor for months met his Waterloo on January 22, when neighbours who saw the boy sneaking out of Chinecherem’s room in a suspicious manner raised the alarm.
It was learnt that when curious neighbours accosted the survivor and asked him what he had gone to Chinecherem’s house to do, he could not give satisfactory answer. The Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi Edgal who paraded the suspect at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja on Thursday said the survivor who had a nylon bag with him was ordered to open the bag. Edgal said, “When he opened the bag in his possession, it contained freshly used condoms filled with semen. At this point, the boy revealed that Chinecherem was his lover. “The matter was immediately reported to the Police at Ejigbo Police State and the said prince was arrested for interrogation. After preliminary investigation, the matter was called for further enquiry by the Gender Section of the Command.” The State Police Boss revealed that when the suspect and the survivor were taken for medical examination, the result revealed that the survivor has long been introduced to homosexual act. The medical report further showed that both men have been infected with HIV virus which causes AIDS. The correspondent also learnt that the suspect who is divorced had also sodomised his nine year son before he ran from home.
Edgal said the suspect will be charged to Sexual and Special Offences Court in Ikeja soon.
