Man declared wanted for being a gay as community kills his partner
The security agency has declared Christian Chiedozie Ozokolie, wanted following his alleged escapades in illicit sexual activities.
Our Correspondent gathered that Chiedozie Christian Ozokolie who was born in Enugu in the year 29 August 1976 was caught red-handed on September 7, 2020 while engaging in homosexuals’ activities with his gay friend at a popular local hotel in his Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
A community source disclosed that the suspect, who is now on the run, has initiated several members of his locality into the act, considered a taboo both by custom and the government laws.
According to the source, “we caught him red-handed while he was making love with another man, but before we could call the attention of other members of the community, he fled the area.
“The young man is married with a kid (daughter) but we have always seen him under questionable circumstances with other young men and we keep eye on him because we got an information that he is GAY MAN and he is practice it; he has always checked-in into that hotel with a fellow man.
“So, on that fateful day, we decided to lay siege to them; as soon as they entered the room, they started their love escapade; we had to look through the window and saw both of them making love.
“We raised the alarm and came through the door because we broke the door and caught him and his partner. We beat them up but he is lucky to jump down from the window and speed off; we were able to catch his partner.
He was beaten black and blue and handed over to the police for prosecution but he later died that the same day in police station
The source, who simply identified himself as Papa Uche further disclosed that the community and his family members had already disowned Chiedozie Christian Ozokolie as he had desecrated the land.
“The implication is that we will not have anything to do with him again; if he likes, he can run forever; he committed sacrilege and he must face the ultimate consequence,” he vowed.
Meanwhile, the development was confirmed by a senior police officer who said the matter was reported by the community’s vigilante group.
He said the fleeing suspect would still face prosecution when arrested as homosexual remained a crime, with 30 years imprisonment awaiting any culprit.
