Man City handed Aguero injury scare

The striker appeared to sustain a calf injury during Argentina’s preparations for their World Cup qualifier with Paraguay on Tuesday night

Manchester City will once again be sweating over the fitness of striker Sergio Aguero, who was forced out of Argentina training on Sunday.

Aguero appeared to suffer a calf problem during a training session ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Paraguay on Tuesday.

He is expected to undergo a scan to determine the extent of the problem on Monday.

The 28-year-old pulled out of the Argentina squad for the previous round of qualifiers in September due to a calf problem.

City’s two other Argentina internationals, Pablo Zabaleta and Nicolas Otamendi, are suspended for the match in Cordoba.

City right-back Bacary Sagna, who returned to Manchester over the weekend after injuring his hamstring during France’s victory over Bulgaria on Friday night, is expected to be out of action for a month.
