Local Vigilantes and police raid leaves ikorodu woman hospitalized

Ikorodu, lagos State – A disturbing incident unfolded at Toma Estate , Agric, Ikorodu, when local vigilantes , identified as members of the Oodua peoples congress (OPC), accompanied by officers from the Nigeria Police Force, Ikorodu Division, stormed the residence of Alhaja Sekinat Osilalu on a mission to apprehend her son, Toheeb Osilalu.
Eyewitness reported that the raid occurred in the early hours on the 28th of July 2019 at Toma Estate. The police, acting on an arrest warrant, forcefully entered the premises, allegedly pushing Alhaja Sekinat aside as they search the house. However, the suspect, Toheeb Osilalu, was not found at the scene.
The incident took a grave turn when Alhaja Sekinat , who had reportedly been in good health, suddenly collapsed during the raid. One eyewitness recounted, “she just fell to the ground; the whole thing was too much for her. We had to rush her to the hospital.”
The motive behind the search was linked to the authorities’ ongoing efforts to apprehend Toheeb Osilalu, who is believed to be on the run. His affiliation with same-sex activities has reportedly placed him under the radar of local vigilantes and law enforcement.
As of the time of this report, Alhaja Sekinat Osilalu’s conditions remains remains uncertain. The family has declined to comment further on the matter.
