Lalong has no hand in attempt to recall Plateau House member — Group

The Plateau Youths for Change has refuted some claims credited to the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State that Governor Simon Lalong is making an attempt to recall the member representing Langtang North North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon Godfrey Lamdit.

The PDP in Plateau had in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos and signed by the Publicity Secretary, John Akans, said that the Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is pained and disappointed with the news of another planned illegality by Governor Simon Lalong – his attempt to recall the member representing Langtang North North Constituency, in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon Godfrey Lamdit; that the party is aware that the Chief of Staff Governor’s office, has been selected as the undertaker of this wicked plan to deny the good people of Langtang North North of quality representation in the state legislature.

However, in a swift reaction, the Plateau Youths for Change in a statement signed by Issac Kwalo, the Secretary of the group, described Gov Simon Lalong as a true democrat and bridge-builder.

“As a group we condemn in strong terms comments credited to the PDP that our governor is making an attempt to recall the member representing Langtang North North Constituency, in the Plateau State House of Assembly”

“We say that our governor is a democrat and would not promote illegality, his major priority is to make Plateau great again and he is doing his best in restoring lasting peace to Plateau and also uniting all tribes in the state so he deserves to be commended not condemned.

“The Lalong-led administration is determined to better the lives of civil servants of the state: What matters most to Gov Lalong is to provide the dividends of democracy to the people of Plateau,” he stressed.

“Within two years in office, Lalong had proven himself to be an excellent administrator and in return, the people have come to build confidence in him as a leader with strong and reliable economic strategies that withstood the challenges posed by the economic downturn bedevilling the entire nation.

“His remarkable developmental projects have also strengthened the hope of the people in the rescue mission of his administration.
