Lagos, Oyo, Delta berth in Western Conference s/finals

Yejide Grammar School Ibadan, Oyo State, picked the first semifinal ticket in the girl’s category of the ongoing Western Conference playoffs of the Nestle Milo Secondary Schools Basketball Championship.
The hardworking Ibadan-side defeated Regina Mundi Snr Secondary School Iwo, Osun State, 41-02 to grab the semi-final ticket with a very bold stance.
Also, Wesley Girls Snr School, Lagos State out-dunked Anglican High School Ado, Ekiti State, by 35-20.
In the other matches played, Greater Tomorrow International College Akoko, Ondo State, defeated Idia College Benin City, Edo State, by 15-13, while Ugborikoko Secondry School, Warri, Delta State, beat Adedokun International School, Ogun State, 21-9.
The girls from Oyo State will now slug it out with Anglican High School, Ekiti in the first semifinal, while Wesley Girls Snr. Secondary Lagos will confront Ugborikoko Snr School Warri, Delta State in the second semifinal.
In the boys’ category, the hardworking, dedicated and disciplined Henson Demonstration School Benin, Edo State, recorded a clean sheet in the group stage, as they defeated Greater Tomorrow Intl College Akoko, Ondo State 48-11.
Ilupeju Grammar School, Lagos defeated Greenland Intl Academy, Abeokuta, Ogun State by 28-14 to pull through to the semi-final.
The boys’ semifinals pairing will feature Ilupeju Grammar School Lagos who will battle Osadenis Mixed Secondary School, Asaba, Delta State, while Ado Grammar School, Ekiti will face Henson Demonstration School Benin, Edo State at Indoor Sport Hall of National Stadium, Lagos, today.
