Lagos agog for IPC seminar

All roads will today lead to the Sheraton Hotel and Towers Ikeja, Lagos where over sixty Para-Powerlifting officials drawn from across Africa will be featuring at the 3-day International Paralympic Committee (IPC) organized seminar/workshop holding from August 10 -12, 2017.
The event which in conjunction with Nigeria Para-Powerlifting Federation, is attracting forty participants from across Africa, while the remaining twenty will be coming from the host nation, Nigeria.
The participants would be trained in four major areas of the Para-Powerlifting sport. These include, athletes, coaches, classification and technical officials.
Starting from 8am daily, the programme which is the first of its kind to be hosted not only in Nigeria, but West Africa, will enhance the potentials of Nigeria Para-Powerlifting officials and also boost Nigeria’s chances of maintaining her number one position in Para-Powerlifting globally.
Secretary General of the Nigeria Powerlifting Federation, Abulude Dayo, has appealed to the Nigerian technical officials penciled down for the event to ensure that they avail themselves of this opportunity since such programme comes once in a while.
Participating countries include, Ghana, Egypt, Tunisia, South Africa and host country Nigeria among others.
