Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson to take pay cut
Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson will take a small pay cut as their radio network responds to the coronavirus’ impact on the company.
The radio duo, who host the highly successful program The Kyle & Jackie ‘O’ Show on KIIS FM (owned by ARN — Australian Radio Network), will accept a 10 per cent pay cut to soften the blow to the business. Despite this, they will still work five days a week.

The network is also implementing cuts for all staff by moving most of them to four-day weeks and reducing management and board salaries by 20 per cent.
“Although ARN is in a strong position, like all media businesses our revenue has been significantly impacted by COVID-19,” Davis said in a statement.
“The priority of the board and management team is the safety and well being of our staff. These decisive measures have been out in place to protect jobs and ensure ARN remains in a strong position as a stable business and employer in the long term.”

He continued: “I am confident the measures we have implemented today will put ARN in the strongest position possible to endure and succeed in these uncertain times.”
The company announced that other on-air talent like Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones, Christian ‘O’ Connell and Amanda Keller would also get a minimum of 10 per cent reduction in their fees, and work five day week.

Henderson added, “Kyle and I truly love our listeners, our incredible guests, and have so much fun working together. Not many people get to go to work each day to share stories, laugh with their best friend, and create entertainment that hopefully makes our listeners’ day that little bit lighter — that isn’t lost on me. We’re so grateful to be able to continue this journey with ARN.”
