Kwara donates face masks to journalists

The Kwara state Technical Committee on COVID-19 has donated face masks to journalists in the state to protect themselves against the spread of the dreaded coronavirus as they carry out their daily activities.

Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara state governor and spokesman for the committee, Rafiu Ajakaye, delivered the face masks to journalists on Monday in Ilorin.

The media aide commended his colleagues in the pen profession for the support the government and the committee have received from them so far in the fight against the pandemic.

“I want to thank my colleagues for their support; we have enjoyed a robust relationship so far, including at this extraordinary moment.

“I hope to see us extend this relationship beyond the fight against COVID-19. 

“I appeal to you all to accept it as another support from the government at this trying time. 

“I urge our colleagues to please continue to adhere strictly to all safety measures to curb spread of this pandemic,” he added.
