Kwara APC governorship candidate to review varsity fees

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has promised to review tuition fees charged by the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete if elected. The APC governorship candidate made the promise on Sunday in Malete, Moro Local Government during a campaign tour of the university town. Students of the institution who came to the rally complained of high tuitions charged by the state-owned institution. AbdulRazaq told the students that his government would look into the school fees charged by higher institutions in the state if elected in the March 2 elections. He also pledged to access the N100 billion funds the federal government proposed to address the farmers-herders’ crisis in parts of Kwara. He lamented that the current state government has refused to tap into this relief offered by central government for reasons best known to them. AbdulRazaq promised cattle routes and water for Fulani herdsmen in the state, adding that nomadic education in Fulani communities would be revived and nomadic schools renovated. AbdulRazaq therefore urged Fulani communities in the state to vote massively for all the APC candidates in the coming polls.
