Klopp unconcerned by Sturridge’s behaviour

Jurgen Klopp has defended Daniel Sturridge after the striker appeared to ignore Liverpool fans at the end of Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to Swansea City in the Premier League. The striker played the full 90 minutes at the Liberty Stadium but was not able to stop Liverpool slipping to a disappointing defeat. Sturridge had one clear chance in the first half that drifted wide, but otherwise it was a frustrating afternoon for the England international – and that showed at the final whistle.

Guidolin coy on Swansea future
Francesco Guidolin gave little away about his future on Sunday despite leading Swansea City to Premier League safety with a 3-1 win over Liverpool. The Italian arrived at Liberty Stadium with the Swans just one point clear of the relegation zone, having managed only five victories from 22 matches. Sunday’s result – which came thanks to an Andre Ayew double and Jack Cork’s first goal in over a year – moved them onto 43 points with two matches to play, 11 points clear of the relegation zone.

Arsenal´s patience paid off –Cech
Petr Cech said Arsenal had to be alert and patient and it paid dividends as they overcame a stubborn Norwich City on Saturday. Danny Welbeck came off the bench in the second half and lifted Arsenal to a 1-0 Premier League win as the Londoners moved closer to securing Champions League qualification. Arsenal had been frustrated against an “absolutely brilliant” Norwich team at the Emirates Stadium until substitute Welbeck netted just shy of the hour-mark.
