Kano State Gov. Charge NDLEA to Prosecute Drug Dealers

Kano state governor Engr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has charged the NDLEA in the state to prosecute any person found with dangerous and hard drugs in the state. The governor who stated this during an occasion where he set ablaze fake and contraband drugs worth millions of naira called on district heads to be vigilant and report to the NDLEA any person or group of persons who engage in selling of such drugs. He also called on parents to be more involved in the daily activities of their children doing so he said would assist the children to associate only with good people.

In his remark, Kano State commissioner of health Abubakar Labaran Yusuf said the NDLEA has so far confiscated drugs worth over 200 million naira in the state. The governor has destroyed some while the remaining shall be destroyed soon. He called on persons who are in the habit of supplying fake drugs and other hard drugs to the state to keep off as the state government has given the NDLEA the mandate to prosecute anyone caught selling or taking such drugs without sparing no one.
