Kano govt disburses Aisha Buhari’s food items

The Kano State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development has disbursed food items worth millions of Naira to the less-privileged in three Senatorial districts of the state.

The food items donated by the First Lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, were aimed at alleviating the suffering of the less-privileged. Some of the items donated included 1,000 bags each of rice, semovita, wheat flour, sugar and salt, among others.

While presenting the food items to women leaders from the three Senatorial districts, namely Kano North, South and Kano Central, the State’s Honourable Commissioner Women Affairs and Social Development, Barr. Zubaida Damaka described the gesture as a remarkable one that deserved applause, noting that the First Lady had proved to the people of the state that she really cared about them and that this was the beginning of good things to come. She, therefore, commended the First Lady for her kind gesture and called on the good people of Kano to give to the Buhari’s administration every necessary support needed to move this country to a greater height.
