K1 De Ultimate converts multimillion naira Lagos mansion to Central Mosque

K1 De Ultimate discovered his interest in music when he was 8. His parents initially opposed but he continued to pursue his passion and by the time he was 15 he had won various local musical competitions.
He later became member of Ayinde Barrister’s band, the Supreme Fuji Commanders from 1975 to 1979. He released his first solo album ‘Abode Mecca’ in 1979. He released his most successful album Talazo 84 in 1984.
K1 De Ultimate began his global tour between North America and Europe in 1984 and he has continued touring annually since. In 1996 he delivered the first Fuji performance ever at WOMAD Festival.He is also the only Fuji musician to perform at Troxy, WOMEX and SOB’s.
Fuji music lord K1 De Ultimate has converted his palatial mansion in Okota, Lagos to a Central Mosque to mark his 60th birthday.
K1 as he is fondly called will be turning 60 on Friday, March 3, 2017.
Since the completion of his Ijebu-Ode mansion, K1 has relocated to his home town from where he has been doing his businesses.
