Inspiration behind Caramel fashion line – Caramel Plugg

She is a successful social media influencer cum entrepreneur, Ogechi Ukonu, aka Caramel Plugg has continued to soar in her chosen line of businesses.

Hinting on how she derived the inspiration for her business enterprise, Caramel Plugg who presently has over 728,000 followers on Instagram says she has always wanted to become a fashion brand entrepreneur.

“I’ve always wanted to have my own fashion line but I wasn’t sure of how that was going to play out. So the opportunity for it came and I ran with it,” she stated.
Fashion business side of Caramel Plugg started from her life as a social media influencer.

The Imo State born smartly created a thriving business, Caramel Shop, since then she has been having a field day as an entrepreneur, fashion influencer and brand ambassador.

Sharing her thoughts on what it is like being an entrepreneur, she says: “It’s amazing. It’s not rosy every day but I love the chase. It always drives me to keep going. I love it.”

Her long term plan for Caramel Shop, she disclosed, is “to expand the clothing line.”
And as for her future as a comedian, she declared unequivocally that she will continue being a comedian. “As long as I can share my moods with people, it’s not a problem. I love it,” she averred.

Caramel Plugg who will be graduating later this year, 2021, says she already mapped out her plans for the remaining part of the New Year. “I plan to keep going, expand my business and create more time for myself.

There’s also room to make more plans but this is the next move for now,” she said.
The comedian, who is said she is also looking forward to returning to Lagos.
So far, life has been good to her, she avowed.

For young people who are still new to social media, Caramel Plugg, who is studying at the University of Fraser Valley, Vancouver, Canada,, has a few lessons to share, “Be authentic.

Don’t try to be like anyone else. Keep your private life private,¨ she advised. ¨You don’t owe everyone an answer. Social media is an interesting place but you have to navigate carefully.

Not everyone wants to see you happy but be sincere to yourself and watch your own back before you expect anyone else to do that for you,” she advised.
