INEC denies suspending 202 staff indicted by EFCC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Monday, dismissed report that it has suspended the 202 staff indicted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The Commission, in a statement by its Secretary, Mrs. Chinwe Ogakwu, explained that it is in the process of investigating and interviewing the staff concerned in accordance with the principles of fair hearing.
The Professor Mahmood Yakubu-led INEC stated that in line with the Commission’s staff conditions of service, no disciplinary action can be taken until the conclusion of the process.
The Commission therefore called on Nigerians to disregard the report that it has suspended the 202 staff indicted by the EFCC.
