We have increased response time to crime — OPSH boss

The Commander of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), in Plateau, Major General Augustine Agundu, has said his Command has strengthened the structures that enable troops to respond to crime to be more effective aimed at enabling personnel to be more proactive to curb crime.
Gen. Agundu stated this on Tuesday in a stakeholders meeting with top officials of Jos North residence, the area where the recent civil unrest erupted few weeks back.
He said his Command will deploy every available strategy at their disposal in line with their mandate to ensure that the crisis bedeviling the State is brought to an end.
Speaking at the forum he said, “I have called you here to hear from you the reason for the recent face-off amongst you with the aim of addressing them by proffering ways in which we can all coexist together.
“I have also repositioned my troops to respond to crime scene on time”.
The meeting which consists of Stakeholders from Jos North witnessed the various divides ventilating their grievances and making fresh commitments to coexist.
The OPSH who is also known as Special Task-Force (STF), task the public to also partner with the Command with useful information that will lead to abating crime.
