In Buhari’s absence, Osinbajo presides over FEC meeting

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is presiding over the Federal Executive Council in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari (FEC).

Before the meeting began on Wednesday, the cabinet members observed a minute of silence in honor of two former ministers: Senator Bode Olowoporoku, a former Minister of Science and Technology, and Alhaji Umaru Muhammad Baba, a former Minister of Agriculture.

Seven representatives were physically present in the State House Council Chambers for the meeting, which was also held via virtual platform.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, officially announced the two former ministers’ election to the Council, recalling their various contributions to the country.
