Ifeanyi Kingsley Kwentoa Emerges Best Graduating PGD Student in Computer Science at FUNAAB

Ifeanyi Kingsley Kwentoa has been named the Best Graduating Student for the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme in the Department of Computer Science, under the College of Physical Sciences (COLPHYS) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

The announcement was made during the university’s convocation ceremony held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, drawing applause from academic staff, fellow graduates, and dignitaries in attendance.

In his commendation, Professor Olusegun Folorunsho, Head of the Department of Computer Science, praised Kingsley for his exceptional academic performance, work ethic, and passion for technological advancement.

“Mr. Kingsley has demonstrated not just academic brilliance, but also a commendable level of discipline and innovation. His dedication to excellence sets a high standard for future postgraduate students,” Prof. Folorunsho remarked during his address.

Kingsley, who completed the rigorous PGD programme with an outstanding result, was recognized for his contributions to research discussions and his commitment to collaborative learning throughout his time in the department.

His achievement underscores the Department of Computer Science’s ongoing commitment to fostering intellectual growth and producing graduates who are equipped to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s digital economy.

 

Other Emerging students that were recognized includes; Kikelomo Adewunmi, Oseghaede Stanley Augustine, Omotayo Emmanuel Oladapo, Oke Adebayo, Amusan Elisha Oluwafemi, Idowu Saheed Adekunle.

 

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta continues to uphold its reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading institutions for science and technology education, with the College of Physical Sciences playing a central role in nurturing future innovators.
