IFAD trains market women, farmers on standard weight & measures

The International Funds for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a Federal Government assisted initiative that works through the Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP) has trained Taraba farmers, processors and market women on the use of Standard Weight and Measures for Rice and Cassava products in the State.

Speaking at the Trainer’s Workshop held in Jalingo, the National Programme Coordinator, Dr Ameh Onoja called on the participants to apply Standard Weight and Measures in the sale of their products saying, such will earn them the free access to get value for their investments.

Represented by Mr Kennedy Esinolu, Onoja remarked that sellers can best be patronized only when they have standard and quality products for sale.
