Ibida lauds Anambra govt on road construction

The member representing Njikoka 11 Constituency in the State House Of Assembly and the chairman House Committee on Trade, Commerce, Market and Wealth Creation, Dr. Pete Ibida, has showered encomiums on the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano for the construction of Oye-Agu- Girls’ Secondary School, Abagana, Ekeudo-Nimo -Convent road.
The visibly happy Ibida who gave the commendation in an exclusive interview with Daily Times at the State House of Assembly, said the Anambra number one citizen had given him (Ibida) cause to rejoice, noting that the road when completed would open up the area.
“Governor Willie Obiano has done noble by awarding that road and also for mobilizing the contractor handling the project. That road is so strategic and vital to my people.
My constituents have suffered enough untold hardship as a result of the poor condition of the road. Erosion menace within the area has forced some residents to relocate to neighbouring communities where they are now taking refuge. I cannot thank the governor enough.
“Tell me why I will not campaign vigorously for him in this election. This is dividend of democracy in action. Obiano has since won my people’s heart with his style of leadership. Each time you beckon on him, he listens.
He has taken governance to the next level. One thing I like about him is his humaneness and compassionate way of doing things. Obiano is a leader. We must not fail to vote him again,” Ibida stated.
Hon. Ibida while extolling Governor Willie Obiano, charged the contractor handling the project to eexpedite action on the site to avoid undermining the good intentions of the Governor.
“They should ensure that the road is completed in the record time. My people need that road more than anything else,” Ibida said.
