Why I dropped out to win ‘The Voice Nigeria’- Idyl

For Daniel Diongoli popularly known as ‘Idyl’, and the Season 2 winner of ‘The Voice Nigeria’ leaving his final papers at Niger Delta University to compete for the coveted prize of a record contract, an all-expense-paid trip to Dubai and a 7Million Naira SUV Jeep was more important in fulfilling his musical dreams.

Speaking on why he left his final papers to graduate as an Economist for a musical competition, Idyl said: “Its definitely worth the while because music is what I live for and passionate about.”

Although Idyl noted that his dropping out does not mean he won’t be finishing up his studies. He said, “When the opportunity came for me to do music, I had to go all out for it because music is like a jealous lover where you have to give it your all or nothing at all.”
