How gunmen invaded apartment of ex-NSCDC staff – Eyewitness
An eyewitness simply identified as Tayo Owonla has given a vivid account of how gunmen suspected to be kidnappers raided an apartment belonging to a former staff of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Mr Babatunde Odubanjo in Kwali, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory.
Owonla who lives close to the area where the incident occurred she said that the incident occurred at about 11pm on Sunday night.
According to her, the gunmen drove roughly into the compound across the road, and stationed themselves in strategic places around the compound.
She said, ‘’I slide the curtain of my window from where I was hiding to know what was happening and I saw 3 hefty men with guns came out of the vehicle so I quickly bow down my head and was peeping through the windows.
‘’It was dark and I could not see their faces clearly but they shot in the air and i heard voices screaming Babatunde come out here. The shouts continued until about 15 minutes when they left. Probably, after they discovered thathe was not in the house’.
‘’It was this morning that we went there and discovered that they broke into our neighbour’s apartment, Odubanjo. Although nobody was seen in the house because Odubanjo and his family are not around”.
Odubanjo was formerly the Head of operations of the NSCDC Epe Division in Lagos state. The area is said to be notorious for harboring pipeline vandals and other national assets of the nation for their personal gains.

It was also discovered that his team were in operation during the attacks on the oil pipelines and other installations by the Avengers in Lagos State and other parts of the country.
Reports also revealed that the same officer’s younger brother was kidnapped in 2014 by unknown gunmen and also lost his father early this year in a mysterious manner.
The former Officer is said to be trailed for retribution from the gunmen for sometimes now.
Although, his whereabouts and his family could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, reports from the neighbours indicate that they traveled.
