Hon. Dogara leads winners of 2015 Zik Prize Awards

Speaker of the House of Representatives, RT. Hon Yakubu Dogara, two serving governors and five other prominent Nigerians have won the 2015 Zik Prize in Leadership at an elaborate ceremony hosted Sunday night at the Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, Lagos.

RT Hon. Dogara was awarded the Zik Prize in Leadership Award for Public Service, while governors Willie Obiano of Anambra State and. Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State were awarded the Zik Prize for Good Governance.

Other recipients include veteran Journalist and CEO of Channels Television, Mr John Momoh and Chairman of Erisco Foods Limited, Chief Jude Umeofia

The Zik Prize Leadership was set up in 1994 by the Public Policy Research and Analysis Centre, (PPRAC), as part of annual activities in honour of the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, the First President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It is meant to encourage the development of patriotism, honour and integrity among Africans and all black people of the world. The PPRAC is a private sector, non-political and nongovernmental organization.

As in past editions, this year’s recipients were adjudged by the Advisory Board of the PPRAC to have excelled in various fields of human endeavour and therefore selected for the prestigious award.
