Enyinnaya Nwigwe, others to storm Enugu for ‘The Wedding Showcase’
Enyinnaya Nwigwe, Ebube Nwagbo, Alex Ekubo, Enyinnaya Nwigwe, Bryan Okwara, Melvin Oduah are among the top Nigerian celebrities who will be storming Enugu for the third edition of ‘The Wedding Showcase Nigeria’.
With the event which kick off already yesterday Friday Nov. 24 will run till Sunday Nov. 26, 2017 as the wedding fair will be showcasing top brands in the event industry.
According to the organizer, Kachy Ugwa, the exhibition fair is essentially the melting pot for top Nigerian fashion icons and parades, event, media and logistics vendors from all parts of South Eastern Nigeria.
“TWS Nigeria is an amazing opportunity for every brand to showcase themselves in real time. TWS helps customers to see what they can do in other to eliminate doubts, then we boost good brand in the East and enable them increase sales and clientele base,” he said.
Shedding more light on what is expected of this year’s edition, Ugwa assures that the two days exhibition business dinner and fashion show would be top-notch.

He further revealed that the exhibition would be taking place at The Golden Royale Multipurpose Hall, Enugu, while the business dinner and fashion show would hold at The Base Event Center, Independence Layout, Enugu.
Nigerian dancer, Odumewu Debbie breaks Guinness World Record
Odumewu Debbie a.k.a Pinki Debbie, a Nigerian dancer and choreographer, has officially broken the Guinness World record of “the longest dancing marathon by an individual”. Pinki Debbie who broke the record on Thursday by 12:00 A. M.
Pinki Debbie who danced for 123:15 hours as at 12:00am on November 23rd, 2017 completed the challenge of an individual dancing for 137 hours setting a new record.
Debbie started her attempt at The Palms Shopping Mall, in Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday, November 17, 4:00 PM and was finished, November 23, 2017.
Fans have been following and encouraging her on her Instagram page where she is dancing live.
Debbie is a graduate of policy and strategic studies from Covenant University. She started dancing when she was six years old.
Kalamandalam Hemaletha achieved the previous record of 123 hours 15 minutes by dancing from September 20 to 26 in 2010 in India in approximately five days.
Another dancer and choreographer, Kaffy, also broke the Guinness World Record for “Longest Dance Party” at the Nokia Silverbird Danceathon in 2006.
BON 2017: Omotola Jalade, Ali Nuhu others to be recognised
Ahead of the 2017 edition of the Best of Nollywood Awards, organisers have revealed that the trio of delectable actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Kannywood star, Ali Nuhu and veteran director, Lancelot Imasuen will be awarded with the special recognition awards for their immense contributions towards the growth and development of the industry.
According to the executive producer of the Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, Nuhu deserves the recognition for being the only Northern actor to cross over to mainstream Nollywood.
“Apart from that, he has inspired an entire generation of Northern youths to see a career in Nollywood. He is a true and constant Northern legend, not just a star,” he said.
Oloketuyi described Omotola Jalade Ekiende as a bankable actor, who broke into the industry at an early age.
“There was no contest in her choice in spite of her relatively young age. Here is a lady who broke into the industry before she turned 18 and two decades after, is still a veritable box-office face in an industry known for ephemeral stars.
“It goes beyond luck. The recognition from TIME Magazine as one of the Most Influential 100 people in the world in 2013 is a pointer to her relentless artistic enterprise and ingenuity. And we at BON Awards are happy to be associated with such iconic actor.” He said.
He also praised Lancelot Oduwa-Imasuen’s relevance in the industry despite the arrival of younger filmmakers.
“In spite of the incursion of younger, technology-savvy directors into Nollywood, Lancelot has evolved and attained a pied piper status of sort. He deserves the recognition like the others.”
The upcoming 2017 BON Awards will be hosted by Gbenro Ajibade, an actor who recently made his directorial debut with the Ice Prince Biopic alongside Rahama Sadau, an actress who became popular in the mainstream movie market after a ban from Kannywood in 2016.
The 2017 edition of the awards show will take place on December 16, at the Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
