Guardiola to Watch Barca, City Cracker

Pep Guardiola will attend Manchester City’s Champions League showdown in Barcelona amidst increasing speculation he could be in line to replace Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad.

Pellegrini is feeling the heat as he battles to rescue City’s fading season and could face the sack this summer.

The champions are struggling to defend their league title and must beat Barca at least 2-0 to knock them out in the Nou Camp to reach the last eight.

Guardiola is one of three names on a shortlist of possible replacements for Pellegrini that has been drawn up by Etihad bosses.

Diego Simeone and Carlo Ancelotti are also targets of the billionaires as speculation mounts about what will happen to Pellegrini.

Now it has emerged that Guardiola will return to his former club Barca to watch them in action against City in the second leg of the last 16 clash.

Guardiola, of course, will be keen to keep tabs on his side Bayern Munich’s potential opponents in the next round.
