Group seeks Tinubu’s support for poverty eradication at grassroots

A coalition of quest for good governance, under the aegis of Niger Delta Youth Leaders Support for Tinubu, has appealed to the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to address the prevailing poverty of the people at the grassroots.
This appeal was made by the leader of Niger Delta Youth Leaders Support For Tinubu, Comrade T T Charles Taylor, who raised the issue while briefing newsmen at the group’s office in Yenagoa.
According to Comrade Charles Taylor, NDYLSFT is a grassroots support initiative project meant to highlight the challenges faced by people at the grassroots who are facing monumental economic hardship and how to bring succour to them.

He pointed out that President Tinubu is not not President for APC alone but President for all Nigerians, irrespective of political leanings, therefore, ” the group stands to drive the dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots”.
He lamented that at the grassroots many households could not celebrate the Christmas season because of the biting economic challenges and urged the President to alleviate their suffering.
According to Comrade Taylor, already there are Coordinators in all the communities in the Niger Delta and assuring that when palliatives are available the group would ensure it gets it gets down to the people at the grassroots.
The group commended the effort of Mr President in confronting the general ills of the country.
Speaking further about the political crisis in Rivers State between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr Nyesom Wike and Governor Simi Fubura, he appealed to the general public to steer clear of the crisis and that if one is not careful the crisis would consume those who interfer.
He noted that it is biblical script that is unfolding in Rivers State, stressing that the matter would naturally fizzle out.
Similarly, he commended Governor Douye Diri for initiating policies and projects that would enhance the well-being of the people, especially the ongoing construction of the Nembe Brass Senatorial road and other road networks going on in the state .
