Delta state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has promised to fast track the completion of the Ogwashi-Uku -Ubulu-Unor Road project in Aniocha South Local Government Area.
Gov. Okowa gave the promise on Friday at Ubulu-Unor during the funeral mass of Ezinne Gladys Ndinwa Aniagwu, mother-in-law of Apostle Chris Eruemulor of Calvary World Outreach at St. John Catholic Church Ubulu-Unor.
The governor who was accompanied to the service by his wife, Edith Okowa and other top government functionaries thanked the people for their support and cooperation and assured them of government’s resolve to take development to the grassroots in line with the SMART agenda.
Okowa condoled the family of the deceased on the death of their mother and enjoined them to remain united and uphold the virtues of their late mother who was known for her exceptional services in the church.
In a homily, Rev. Father Israel Dibia reminded the congregation that death was an inevitable end of man’s stay on earth, pointing out that only those who were obedient to God’s commandments would make heaven.
Reverend Father Dibia said the late Gladys Aniagwu lived her life in the service of God and humanity, and enjoined those left behind to mourn her to emulate those virtuses which drew people closer to her.
