Governorship candidate dumps party- APGA
Alhaji Umar Tata, the All Progressives Grand Alliance governorship candidate in Katsina State for the 2015 general election, has dumped the party.
Tata told newsmen on Tuesday in Faskari that he had since returned to the Peoples Democratic Party, the party he left to join APGA.
According to him, he joined APGA to get a platform to contest the governorship election after the PDP denied him the opportunity.
Tata said he was not a desperate politician, but a Nigerian with a conscience seeking to better the lots of the people.
On current recession, the former governorship candidate urged all levels of government to work closely to tackle the problem and save Nigerians from untold hardship.
According to him, all Nigerians, irrespective of any affiliation, must contribute meaningfully to pull the country out of recession and set it on the path of growth and development.
Tata stressed that Nigerians should also develop positive attitude to nation building, so as to ensure social and economic stability in the country.
He appealed to religious and community leaders to pray for the country and encourage their followers to support efforts to take Nigeria out of its present predicaments.
