GOVERNORSHIP ASPIRANT HAILS EX-GOV ADEBAYO AT 59

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Dr. Wole Oluyede, has congratulated the first executive Governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, on his 59th birthday.

Dr. Oluyede who is a governorship aspirant on the platform of the APC in Ekiti State, congratulated the former Governor who is also an APC leader in the state on his new age.

In a statement signed by his Spacial Assistant, Otuna Dolamu Adeniyi,  the aspirant who hails from Ikere Ekiti, in Ekiti South Senatorial district described Otunba Adebayo as a statesman, a patriot and a selfless leader who is passionate about the development of Ekiti in and out of office.

He extols Adebayo for laying the foundation for  development of Ekiti with people-oriented policies which his successors have built upon to make the state to take its pride of place in the Nigerian federation.

The APC stalwart describes Adebayo as a man of integrity, an incorruptible leader and a man of peace whose government was very peaceful while in office as Governor of Ekiti state.

Dr. Oluyede who commended Otunba Adebayo for his statesmanship said the former Governor is a man of sterling qualities that upcoming politicians should emulate as he harbours no acrimony against anyone.

He prayed that Otunba  Adebayo would celebrate many many more years on earth so as to continue to give the APC, a sense of direction in Ekiti and in Nigeria as a whole.

Dr. Oluyede, however, expressed his readiness to take his party, the APC and Ekiti State to greater heights if he emerges as the party’s candidate for the 2018 governorship election.
