Gov Willie exercises civic responsibility
Gov Willie Obiano has charged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to sustain the existing free electoral process in today’s election.
Gov Obiano gave the charge while briefing newsmen after casting his vote at his polling Center, Eri Primary School, one, Unit 004, Otuocha Ward one, Anambra East.
The Gov who arrived the polling Unit 9.40am, voted at 10.50am after a successful accreditation by the officers of INEC.
It was observed that accreditation and voting commenced at 8am and were going on simultaneously.
Addressing newsmen after voting, Gov Obiano urged the people not to disenfranchise themselves, but ensure to exercise their civic responsibility.
The Gov expressed confidence that the INEC had asserted readiness to conduct a free and fair elections.
It was observed that the atmosphere was calm, while accreditation and voting were going on simultaneously.
