Gov Lalong is lying about security in Plateau – JT Useni

The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau state, Lt. General Jeremiah Useni (retired), has said Governor Simon Lalong and the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is lying about the security situation in the state. Useni said that when President Buhari was in Plateau last year on state visit, 27 people were killed on the eve of his arrival and yet the state Governor, Simon Lalong, hid it from him. The Guber candidate stated this on Sunday during a media chat with Journalists in his Jos residence. “Lalong is lying about security in Plateau, he is giving the president fake information on the security situation on ground and yet people are killed on daily basis. “When I visited the President in Abuja, I told him that people were killed on the night before his visit, that Lalong is not telling him the truth. “We cannot pretend about security: we cannot laugh with each other in the morning and kill ourselves at night. “This is why I want to be governor, to restore security in the state. If lives and properties are not secured we cannot talk of development and will not make progress as a people”, Useni said.
